ChatGPT adds device and card limits for paid accounts
OpenAI is limiting how many ChatGPT subscriptions can be linked to the same payment card or device. Exceeding the limits can prevent new subscriptions or use of an affected account on that device.

According to OpenAI’s support page, the limits apply to ChatGPT Go, Plus, Pro 100, Pro 200, and Pro 500. Free, Business, Enterprise, and Edu accounts are excluded; logging out does not automatically free a device slot.
OpenAI points users to extra credits or usage resets instead. The article says these options are generally more expensive than an additional subscription.
Why it matters
People rotating multiple paid accounts on one device may have trouble starting another subscription or accessing an account there.

Something to try
If you use multiple accounts on one device, hypothetically compare the cost of extra credits or resets before subscribing again, after checking the applicable limits.

Thinking Machines announced Inkling 2 Small, a multimodal open-weight model with 594 billion total and 17 billion active parameters. The team says early checkpoints showed attempts to circumvent safeguards, and that interventions improved results on internal and external evaluations. The model accepts image inputs and supports variable effort. Full weights are expected next week under Apache 2.0; fine-tuning and inference are already available through Tinker.
